Datuk Hanafi Bin Sakri is a distinguished senior leader with extensive expertise in industrial development, financial policy, and international trade. Born on November 29, 1968, he resides in Beranang, Selangor.
Datuk Hanafi began his academic journey at Universiti Malaya, where he obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics in 1994. He later pursued further studies in Japan, earning a Master’s Degree in Economics from Okayama University in 2005.
Throughout his career, Datuk Hanafi has served in various critical roles across multiple ministries, showcasing his versatility and leadership capabilities. Currently, he holds the position of Senior Director of Industrial Development at the Ministry of Investment, Trade, and Industry (MITI), a role he has occupied since September 2020.
His career highlights include serving as the Financial Officer for the State Treasury of Melaka, Deputy Secretary for Direct and International Tax at the Ministry of Finance, and Director of Administration at MITI. Datuk Hanafi has also contributed to Malaysia's fiscal and trade policies, including his tenure as Head of the GST Section and roles in economic and trade relations.

Faizal Bin Mohd Yusof is a Senior Director with over 27 years of experience in industrial development, investment policy, trade facilitation, and strategic trade management. He currently holds the position of Senior Director in the Industrial Development Division at the Ministry of Investment, Trade, and Industry (MITI), Malaysia.
Born on August 22, 1969, Faizal pursued his academic journey with distinction. He obtained his LLB (Hons) from the University of Northumbria, Newcastle Upon Tyne, United Kingdom, in 1993. In 1998, he earned a Diploma in Public Administration from the Institut Tadbiran Awam Negara (INTAN) in Kuala Lumpur. Further enhancing his expertise, he completed a Public Policy Study at Wolfson College, University of Cambridge, in 2011.
Throughout his career at MITI, Faizal has demonstrated exemplary leadership and strategic acumen. Since June 2023, he has led the Industrial Development Division as its Senior Director. Prior to this role, he served as the Senior Director of the Investment Policy and Trade Facilitation Division from 2018 to 2023. Between 2010 and 2018, he contributed significantly to the Strategic Trade Secretariat, first as Deputy Strategic Trade Controller and later as Strategic Trade Controller. Earlier in his career, from 1996 to 2010, Faizal held various senior roles, driving initiatives in industry services, company restructuring, and industrial development, with a focus on the automotive, electrical, and machinery sectors.
With his extensive experience, Faizal is recognized for his strategic leadership in policy formulation, industrial strategy, and trade management.
Professor Ramesh Singh is a globally recognized scholar and academic leader with a distinguished career spanning academia, research, and professional service. His contributions have earned him numerous accolades at both national and international levels.
From March to December 2023, he served as the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic and International) at Universiti Tenaga Nasional (UNITEN), a Government-Linked University. In December 2023, he was appointed by the Malaysian Minister of Higher Education as the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Development) at the University of Malaya (UM), Malaysia's oldest and most prestigious university.
Ramesh holds a Ph.D. in advanced ceramics for mechanical engineering applications and a first-class B.Eng. (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Sunderland, UK. His research achievements include developing innovative materials such as aging-resistant zirconia, nanostructured hydroxyapatite bioceramics, and laser welding techniques for dissimilar alloys.
With over 450 scientific publications, Ramesh's work has garnered significant recognition, including his inclusion among the top 2% of scientists worldwide by Stanford University from 2020 to 2023. He has secured more than RM19 million in research grants, supervised 85 postgraduate students, and filed multiple patents.
Ramesh has held key academic roles, including Dean, Deputy Dean, and Director of the Engineering Business Unit at UM, where his leadership propelled the Faculty of Engineering to international acclaim. It was ranked 35th in the QS World University Rankings by Faculty in 2017 and among the top global universities for engineering.
Internationally, Ramesh has served as an advisor, reviewer, and examiner for leading universities and organizations across the globe, including in China, Qatar, and Brunei. His contributions to engineering education include his tenure with the Engineering Accreditation Council (EAC) Malaysia, where he played a pivotal role in implementing Outcome-Based Education and renewing Malaysia’s membership in the Washington Accord.
Ramesh’s honors include the IEM Young Engineer Award, Malaysia Engineer Stars recognition, the prestigious Science & Technology Award by MTSF, and Fellowship in the Academy of Sciences Malaysia. He is also a Fellow of multiple engineering societies, including the Institution of Mechanical Engineers UK and Engineers Australia.
In addition to academic leadership, Ramesh has enhanced the global reputation of institutions like Universiti Teknologi Brunei, where he helped achieve a 5-Plus Star QS rating and organized international conferences. His work as a consultant and visiting professor further cements his impact on engineering, science, and technology.

Dato’ Sri Hean Leng Tai @ Tek Hean Leng serves as the Executive Vice Chairman of Masteel. He began his practical training in 1987 as a Plant Manager in charge of Malaysian Industrial Products Sdn. Bhd., which produces LPG pressure vessel for the oil and gas industries. He is also involved in the formulation and implementation at Masteel's corporate strategies and he is in charge of corporate planning, business expansion and operations.
Dato’ Sri Hean Leng Tai has more than 25 years of business experience in the iron and steel industry. Dato’ Sri Hean Leng Tai also sits on the Board of Metropolitan Commuter Network Sdn. Bhd. and MS Express Sdn. Bhd., which are wholly-owned subsidiaries of Masteel. He also sits on the Board of Bio Molecular Industries Sdn. Bhd., an associate company of Masteel and several private companies in Malaysia. Dato’ Sri Hean Leng Tai is a member of the Board of the Malaysia Steel Institute (“MSI”), he is the Vice President and Honorary Treasurer of the Malaysia Steel Association (“MSA”) and also sits on the Board of Rosegate Insurance Brokers Sdn. Bhd. He does not hold any directorship in any other public company.
In his 30 years of business experience, he has successfully led the commissioning of RM 350 million of new steel plants in Klang. He obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from University of Southern California in 1987 and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Hull, United Kingdom in 1993.
En Roshan Mahendran bin Abdullah was appointed to the Board of Directors of the Company on 18 September 2017 as a Non- Independent Executive Director. Subsequently, he was appointed as the Group Chief Executive Officer of the Company on 2 April 2018.
En Roshan completed his primary and secondary education in Terengganu and Selangor, Malaysia. En Roshan’s tertiary education placed emphasis on maritime and he also obtained a professional certificate from the Australia Maritime Safety Authority. En Roshan also holds a Diploma of Applied Science from Australia Maritime College (University of Tasmania).
En Roshan started his career in 1999 as a Deck Cadet for NSSPL, American President Lines, sailing worldwide on container carriers. He was a 2nd Mate/DPO for Allied Marine Equipment Sdn Bhd from 2004 to 2006. In 2006, En Roshan was on the commissioning team for Offshore Subseaworks Sdn Bhd and subsequently served as 1st Officer/Senior DPO cum Project Manager. In 2009, En Roshan became the General Manager of Jas Marine Ltd and Jas Marine Sdn Bhd. During his tenure from 2004 until 2009, En Roshan held multiple senior positions both onshore and offshore in the Upstream Oil and Gas Sector covering Transport & Installation, Subsea Construction Inspection, Repair & Maintenance, as well as Deepwater Subsea Construction.
In July 2010, En Roshan joined Melewar Industrial Group Berhad as Vice President of Business Development and was re-designated in January 2011 to Vice President cum Deputy Head, Group Commercial Department of Mycron Steel CRC Sdn Bhd (“MCRC”). In May 2011, En Roshan became the Chief Operating Officer of MCRC and Business Development divisions respectively. Subsequently, he became the Group Chief Operating Officer of Mycron Steel Berhad in September 2016 and CEO of both MCRC and Melewar Steel Tube Sdn Bhd (“MST”). En Roshan is responsible for the operations of both MCRC and MST.
Dato' Seri Dr. Ir. Kian Haw Seo, also known as Andy, is a Partner of Andy Seo & Associates, a management engineering consultancy practice and a Member of Corporation of SMECORP Malaysia.
He serves as the Executive Chairman, Senior Advisor and Directors of various organisations. Andy serves as Director of the German Malaysian Institute. Apart from that, Dato' Dr. Ir. Seo serves as a Committee Member of the Malaysian Finnish Business Council, Director of the EU-Malaysia Chamber of Commerce and Industry and SIRIM QAS International Sdn. Bhd.
Andy has been a Director of SIRIM Berhad since July 1, 2015. He serves as the Vice President of the Federation of Malaysian Manufacturers (FMM) and Council Member of the Kuala Lumpur & Selangor Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KLSCCCI). Andy also serves as a Member of the National Skill Development Council. He served as a Council Member of the Institution of Engineers Malaysia.
Dato' Seri Dr. Ir. Seo served as President of the University of Hertfordshire Alumni Association in Malaysia from 1991 to 2002, Member of the University Court at the University of Hertfordshire, UK and an Advisor to the Faculty of Engineering, University Putra Malaysia and University Malaysia Pahang. Andy graduated in Production Engineering from University of Hertfordshire and holds an MBA in General Management from University of Hull, Kone Executive edge strategic Management Course from London Business School, Kone Strategic Management Program from IMD, Honorary Doctor of Science from University of Hertfordshire and Honorary Fellow of Association of ASEAN Fellow Engineers Organization.
